Moonstone
Moonstones can be white, cream, yellowy or even clear with a shimmer of other colours such as pinks, blues, peaches or greens. Rainbow moonstones will shimmer with many colours. They are from the group of minerals called feldspars and are also known as hecatolite.
To commemorate the Apollo space missions which took off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, Mooonstone became Florida's state gemstone.
Birthstones
Moonstone is a birthstone for June and the astrological stone for Cancer, for those born between the 21st of June and the 22nd of July. Moonstone is also the stone to buy for someone born on a Monday.
Healing
Moonstone is believed to enhance clairvoyance and psychic skills. It is strongly associated with the female reproductive cycle and is worn to prevent sleepwalking.
